Feeling craptastic

xray.jpgThat’s me from the inside … According to the radiologist my lungs are clear. That’s important. I have an appointment with a pulmonary specialist next Monday. I have my x-rays from May 31 and July 21 to give to the specialist. Just got off the phone with a receptionist who did my medical history over the phone. Now I won’t have to spendpills.jpg an hour doing paperwork when I go to my appt. But I will have to fill out the new patient information. I just hope that I’m still hacking and coughing when I see him. I want things to stay the same until the specialist can see me. BUT I’m now on an antibiotic and decongestant. Amoxicillin and Pseudovent. The Pseudovent is HUGE! I got these from Urgent Care last night.

I feel like I’m about to die. I have a headache that will not go away. My throat is killing me. I have a sinus/respiratory infection. I have a fever. I can’t sleep. I feel craptastic. I’ve amped up the vitamin C, zinc and vitamin E. Increased my fluid intake and still feel like crap. There’s no way around this one. I need to plow straight through.

Go to http://www.worstpills.org/results.cfm?drug_id=546 and read about pseudoephedrine (pseudovent) and then decide if you want to continue to use it.

  2. Allie, thanks for the heads up. I did take time to read all the precautionaries before taking this medicine. I do that will all meds. Example: When I was told to take Protonix the Dr. gave me 3 weeks worth. He wanted to make sure my cough was not related to GERD. I started reading the info sheet that came with the meds before I left his office. I then pestered him about some of the side effects. I’ve been off the Protonix now for 4 weeks and my digestive system is finally recovering. I do not consider taking any med lightly. I hate todays medical philosophy “take this, this and this and come back and see me in 2 weeks if things don’t improve” approach. I’m now in the process of seaching for a holistic or naturopathic doctor that my insurance will work with even if they are out of network..
