I love conspiracy theories! I really do. Most are plausible enough and contain just enough truth to make you go “Hmmmmmm ….” Do I believe them? I could easily be sucked into them … but I always take that one step back to look twice before jumping.

I have a few favorites …

There won’t be an election this fall or if there is one the transition of power will not take place because GeoBush will have to declare martial law due to “a terrorist act on US soil”. To complicate matters he will order the use of the weaponized Avian Flu virus …. further crippling movent within the US. Of course all this hinges on the fact that he signed the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive which declares that in the event of a “catastrophic event”, the President (George W. Bush) can become what is best described as “a dictator”. Here’s the hinge of the conspiracy theory: “The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government.”

Another favorite is the formation of the North American Union – NAFTA, which was sold to the American public as a simple trade agreement, was actually far more than that, setting in motion a process for the gradual social, economic, and political “integration,” or merger, of the three NAFTA countries – Canada, the United States, and Mexico – into a North American Union. That’s why there is a huge construction project under way starting in Texas with the Trans Texas Corridor … check this out. The TTC is a superhighway system that includes provisions for tollways for passenger vehicles and trucks; lanes for commercial and freight trucks; tracks for commuter rail and high-speed freight rail; depots for all rail lines; pipelines for oil, water, and natural gas; and electrical towers and cabling for communication and telephone lines. One of the proposed corridor routes, TTC-35, is parallel to the present I-35, it will reside slightly to the east, running north from Mexico to Canada. Presently it is purposed to be 4,000 miles long, 1,200 feet wide, and it carries an estimated cost of $183 billion.

And of course there’s the whole Avian Flu thing ….

What’s your favorite – plausible conspiracy theory?
